2007 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductees Pins

Canton, Ohio

August 5, 2007

The Pro Football Hall of Fame first introduced these outstanding limited edition two-pin sets during the NFL’s 1995 Pro Football Hall of Fame Weekend in Canton, Ohio. Only 700 of these 1963/1995 Inductees pin sets were issued. There is a unique Pro Football Hall of Fame tooling mark on the backside of each pewter pin. Located directly underneath the Pro Football Hall of Fame tooling mark is the Balfour manufacturer’s tooling stamp.

The Inaugural 1963/1995 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductees pin set is not numbered.  The 1964/1996 Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductees pin set is numbered as are all the subsequent Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductees pin sets.  Each year these two-pin sets are distributed to Hall of Famers , members of the media, and other important dignitaries in attendance.

The  pewter pin with the orange enameled rim honors the 2007 inductees ( Gene Hickerson, Michael Irvin, Bruce Matthews, Charlie Sanders, Thurman Thomas and Roger Wehrli) while it’s retroactive counterpart honored the 1975 inductees ( Roosevelt Brown, George Connor, Dante Lavelli and Lenny Moore).

These Pro Football Hall of Fame Inductees pin sets have kept a uniform design continuity since their inception. It is a pleasure to see Balfour’s master craftsmanship each year.
