2007 Boston Red Sox World Series Press Pin

The 2007 Red Sox faced the Colorado Rockies who had swept the NLDS & NLCS, and won 21 of their last 22 games. After a 7-game comeback win in the ALCS, the Red Sox calmly swept the Rockies to win their second title in four years.

The Red Sox have not won the World Series on their home field in decades. This pin featuring the green monster in the background may have been designed with the high hopes that the Boston Red Sox might win the World Series on their home field in  Fenway in front of their loyal Red Sox Nation. The last time the Red Sox clinched a World Championship at Fenway Park was when George Herman Ruth played on the team. Better luck next time.

2007 Colorado Rockies World Series Press Pin

Making their first postseason appearance, the Rockies got off to a perfect start, sweeping the Phillies and Diamondbacks in the NLDS and the NLCS. They had to patiently wait eight days before Game 1 of the 2007 World Series even began and their momentum was lost. Boston swept the Rockies in four straight games. Congratulations to the 2007 National League Champions.

This pin was well designed. Positioning the Colorado Rockies logo at the top of the pin above 2nd base was brilliant. Heading into their 1st World Series appearance this team was poised on top of the world.
