New England Patriots vs. New York Giants

This was one of the most thrilling Super Bowls on record. The Game certainly lived up to all the pre-game hype. Tom Brady and the 18-0 New England Patriots were the favorites to win versus the underdog New York Football Giants.

Trailing the New England Patriots with less than 2 minutes remaining Giants quarterback Eli Manning kept his focus and drove the football down the field towards the end zone. Manning miraculously evaded from getting tackled, found an opening and launched one of the now most celebrated throws in Super Bowl history to David Tyree.

One cannot talk about or examine this Super Bowl 42 media pin without mentioning the Super Bowl 41 media pin. These two pins are somewhat similar in shape and design. Was this predestined or purely coincidental? Never before in Super Bowl History have two brothers, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, won the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award in back to back seasons until now. These two pins will always reflect this remarkable feat.

3,300 Super Bowl XLII Media Pins were issued. Each pin is numbered on the back.  250 Limited Edition Super Bowl Player Pins were issued and given to the members of each team.  This year's Super Bowl press pin, handed out to members of the media, shows a renewal in the traditional style of press pins.  It is a no-nonsense pin that has the qualities of many older pins.

The City of New York celebrated the Giants win with a parade.  Below is a image of the New York Football Giants Canyon of Heroes Parade.
